From the Pacific Northwest to the Ends of the Earth.
We are located in an iconic windmill between the pacific ocean and the Cascade mountains in the Northwest corner of the U.S. Situated strategically between Seattle and Vancouver. We are on a mission to impact the nations, seeing young people encounter Jesus and then go out as His ambassadors: going to unreached peoples where Jesus is needed the most.
Most of the people who come through our doors will go back to college or to the work force but with a sense of purpose and on mission. Others will join us to build the movement.
Through all of this we’re also building a missional, outreach mindset right where we’re at so that it’s not just global, it’s not just local but it’s both of these things together building a missions movement to reach the unreached.
About Our Region
Lynden is an incredible place and the street where we’re located has been voted ‘Best Mainstreet in America’. Lynden is a small town of 12,000 sitting comfortably between Seattle and Vancouver with great natural beauty and a commanding view of the Cascade mountains. Lynden is known for its many churches and rich Christian roots. Our main campus is located in a famous windmill and adjacent complex and is known as ‘The Mill’. It’s construction was inspired by the Dutch settlers who founded the town over one hundred years ago. Downtown Lynden, where YWAM is located, is dotted with coffee-shops, bakeries, and novelty shops. The surrounding area is filled with dairy, raspberry, strawberry, and blueberry farms.
History of YWAM North Cascades
YWAM North Cascades launched on July 18th, 2015 after being invited to the area by an informal collective of Christian business leaders and pastors. We launched our first programs the following year and have trained over 200 young people and sent teams to nearly 20 nations.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: We are a disciple making community dedicated to mobilizing young people to unreached people groups. This mission statement reflects our threefold calling to Young People, Mobilization, and the Unreached.
YWAM North Cascades is an affiliate of Youth With A Mission (YWAM), which is an international Christian movement with locations in over 180 countries.
